Strategic Plan & Business Plan

The Domestic Abuse Strategic Project Group is a cross partnership project which aims to understand, address and improve outcomes for children, adults and their families affected by domestic abuse in Sunderland. The aim of the Board is to coordinate what is done by each body represented on the board for the purpose of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children in the area of the authority, and ensuring the effectiveness of that work.

Membership is at chief executive officer level or 2nd Tier level, but if the standing member is at 2nd tier the nominated deputy is the chief executive officer rather than a third tier representative. The remit of the group is to gather multi-agency information that will identify children and young people at risk of missing, trafficking and sexual exploitation The group will develop and monitor action plans for young people missing, trafficked and sexually exploited children in conjunction with the allocated worker for the child or young person The group will ensure SSCB procedures are followed in order to protect those at risk of sexual exploitation.
