Whilst it is the policy of the service that homework is an individual’s responsibility, we endeavour to create a time and place where homework may be done. Additionally we work with the Office for Early Childhood Education and Care to ensure that all requirements and care are of a safe and suitable standard. All staff will be introduced to the child, as will other children with whom the child may wish to play.
Complaints and Grievances Policy. Most if not all OSHC services have a Homework Club for children to get osbc and complete their homework tasks for the week, some services have upwards of 40 children signed up each week to their Homework Clubs.
After School Care
Turn off more accessible mode. Snacks Children have a light snack when signing in which usually consists of fruit and a slice of bread with their choice of topping, and then a more substantial snack at 4. Our Planning initiates from the ideas, needs, interests and curiosities of the children, families and educators of our program, while at the same time developing self-identity and social competencies.
YMCA Childcare – Homework in OSHC
Children are able to use the computers to do homework, play games and search the internet under supervision of an adult. We encourage children to select from a range of nutritious foods as well homewirk trying new and different foods.
The program is run in the hall and parents are required to sign children into and out of the program. Provide written guidance on appropriate conduct and behaviour towards children.
