Restructuring of the groups is based upon the progress children have made in the previous academic year. Make sure you return your book on your allocated day. All children in Year 4 are expected to read each day – you must record your reading in your Home-School diary. Children in Year 5 should become increasingly independent in completing their homework and be responsible for ensuring they bring their Home-School Book and Homework Book into school everyday. The homework task will be written in your Home School book. Reading comprehension homework will be set on a Friday to be completed and returned to school by Thursday.

Teachers use assessments, class work and teacher observations to determine the best group for each child in each subject area. An adult should sign your Home-School Book when you have read and comment on your reading. During this module we will look at how we are able to make informed food choices when we understand food labelling.
